Strategic Plan

If you serve on a NYWEA committee, please take time to review the Strategic Plan, (and subsequent Business Plan) below. It is an interactive document which allows you to click on the main ideas on the home page, which will then take you to the goals, where you can click on the action items set out to accomplish each goal with a “Home” button on the top left, and a “Back” button on the top right to help you navigate the document.

Meeting Programs

Every year NYWEA hosts our Annual Meeting, New York’s largest water quality technical conference, at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. It has a robust roster of technical sessions, an expansive exhibit hall, and provides ample time for networking/fellowship. You really should consider joining us for the next one on February 3-5, 2025!

And our Spring Meeting is not to be missed. It moves throughout the state, and was held this year in Buffalo from June 4-6. It had a great Operations Challenge event, and a Dunk Tank to support Operation SOS: Support Operator Scholarships. Hopefully we’ll see you in Saratoga next year from June 3-5!

The NYC Watershed Conference is a joint venture between NYWEA, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection the the NYS Department of State with the 2024 event being held at Bear Mountain Inn in Tomkins Cove, New York. It was a day-long technical program that featured over 20 presentations, which can be viewed in the program below.

Clear Waters Magazine

All NYWEA members are mailed a hard copy of the Association’s flagship publication, Clear Waters Magazine. This first-rate technical magazine contains articles on environmental issues, regulatory changes, technological advances as well as updates on members and activities. Electronic issues are available below (though 2012), as well as a directory of issue themes from 2024-1988.
