Project Manager – Middletown, NY

The Project Manager (PM) will be under the supervision of the Area Manager (AM) and work in the Middletown area. This position provides direction to a WWTF Contract Operations Project.  The PM ensures established goals and objectives are met within framework of established corporate or organizational policy. The PM will manage any number of employees directly or as participants of a project team. They are responsible for regulatory compliance, client relations, and financial performance of Contract Operations. This is an exempt (salaried) position which requires a minimum of 40 hours per week on site.

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a minimum of a NYSDEC Wastewater Operator Certification -3A
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in wastewater operation and maintenance at a wastewater treatment plant with a score of 56 or higher.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of staff management experience.
  • Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF.
  • Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good record keeping and data entry skills,
  • Budgeting and purchasing.
  • ​Candidate should be able to manage a staff of 7 to 10 individuals

Preferred experience includes: 

  • Operations and maintenance of Belt Filter press’, DMR data collection and entry, Anaerobic Digestion operations, Septage receiving from outside haulers,
  • Capable of interpreting analytical results into operational adjustments to maximize treatment processes.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • NYSDOH Drinking Water Certifications a plus.

Salary is 80K to 120K.
