John Chester Brigham Award—Highlights a current Association Member who has shown leadership in Association activities, including committee service, member recruitment, conference organization, or performed some other outstanding service for the association.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a current member of the New York Water Environment Association.
- Long-term contribution and commitment to the Association

Robert M. MacCrea Award—Honors a sales representative who is an Association Member.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a manufacturer or sales representative.
- Made a significant contribution to the benefit of the Association.
- Must be a current member of the New York Water Environment Association.

Jane Ork Award—Bestowed annually to an Association Member who has made substantial contributions to help further the mission of the Government Affairs Committee and to advance the recognition and efforts of the Association in the state legislature and among regulatory agencies.
Award Criteria:
Given to a current member who has:
- Assisted in the development of NYWEA positions on specific initiatives that have contributed to better state or federal laws, regulations and/or public policy which are consistent with NYWEA’s mission of protecting and enhancing the water environment.
- Helped to educate others with respect to proposed legislation, regulations and/or public policy which are consistent with NYWEA’s mission through networking, speaking at appropriate functions, and/or doing grass root activities.
- Helped to educate elected and/or appointed officials on environmental programs which are consistent with NYWEA’s mission.
- Provided active support of NYWEA’s Government Affairs efforts.
- Promoted local laws, regulations and/or policies which are consistent with NYWEA’s mission.

Young Professionals Service Award—Presented annually to acknowledge an Association Member 35 years of age or younger who has shown leadership and involvement in Association activities and advanced the mission of the Young Professionals Committee.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a current member of the New York Water Environment Association.
- Must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of nomination.
- Must demonstrate strong contributions and/or have a leadership role in Chapter or Association activities.

Outstanding Student Service Award—Given annually to recognize an Association Student Member who has shown exceptional leadership and/or involvement in the promotion of Association activities in their High School, NYWEA Student Chapter, Professional Chapter, Association, and/or Federation.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a Student Member of the New York Water Environment Association.
- Must have demonstrated exceptional leadership and /or involvement in the promotion of NYWEA activities in their High School, NYWEA Student Chapter, Professional Chapter, Association, and/or the Water Environment Federation.

Association Student Chapter Service Award—Recognizes Student Members who have shown leadership and involvement in a Student Chapter and can be given to one member of each active student chapter.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a Student Member of the New York Water Environment Association.
- Must demonstrate strong contributions and/or have a leadership role in the school’s NYWEA Student Chapter.

Hall of Fame Award—Honors NYWEA Members who have made extraordinary contributions to the Association and the environmental profession.
