Annual Conferences

Two conferences are sponsored each year by NYWEA with speakers, workshops, training programs, and award presentations. The conferences feature displays by manufacturers, equipment suppliers, consulting firms and others exhibiting their latest equipment, services and processes. The NYWEA Annual Meeting is held in New York City early in the year, usually during January or February and the Spring Meeting is held later in the year at a different location in the state each year.

Operations Challenge

Each year the Association sponsors a rigorous team competition for waste water treatment operators at its spring meeting. The competition challenges the participants to demonstrate their skills in laboratory, safety, maintenance and process control activities. The winning team represents the State Association at the national competition sponsored by the Federation.

Awards and Honors

NYWEA members are eligible to receive special recognition for professional achievements in the field of water quality and for individual service to the Association on a local, state or national level. Awards are presented at the annual meeting each year. For further information go to Awards & Honors.

Hall of Fame

The NYWEA Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to recognize and honor individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the Association and the environmental profession.
